What is Little Ark?
A bedtime Bible storybook for young children: 50 illustrated five-minute stories from Genesis to the empty tomb, read aloud by two gentle narrators, Clara and Jerry. A grown-up can also record the stories in their own voice.
Does it need the internet?
No. The stories, pictures and narration are built into the app, so it works in airplane mode.
How do I record a story in my own voice?
Tap the microphone at the top of the story list. A quick grown-up check comes first, then you choose who is reading and record the story page by page. You can come back and finish later.
Where are my recordings kept? Can I delete them?
Recordings stay in the app on your device and are never sent to us. They are included in your device backups (such as iCloud Backup) if backups are on. To delete one, open a story, tap the voice and timer button, and choose Manage recordings.
How does the sleep timer work?
Choose 5, 10, 30 or 60 minutes. When time is up, the narration and lullaby fade out softly, the screen shows "Good night." and your device can lock as usual.
What does Repeat do?
With Repeat on, the story turns its own pages and reads from beginning to end the number of times you choose, then stops quietly on the last page. With Repeat off, you turn the pages yourself.
Can I make the reading slower or faster?
Yes. Open the voice and timer settings in a story and move the Speed slider. Recordings in your own voice always play at their natural speed.
Is this a Bible translation?
No. Little Ark retells passages of Scripture as simple illustrated stories for young children. Each story names the chapters it comes from, so you can read the passage together. Stories are drafted with the help of AI tools, then edited by our team and reviewed by a pastor.
