Privacy Policy
Little Ark is a bedtime Bible storybook for young children. It has no ads, no accounts and no tracking. We do not collect personal information from you or your child.
In short
- We don't collect, sell or share personal information.
- There are no ads and no third-party analytics or tracking tools in the app.
- Voice recordings you make stay in the app on your device. They are never sent to us.
- The stories, pictures and narration are built into the app, so it works without an internet connection.
What the app keeps on your device
To work properly, Little Ark saves a few things on your iPhone or iPad. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us:
- Reading progress — which stories have been read to the end, so the app can show a check mark and award story badges.
- Settings — your chosen narrator, reading speed, sleep timer, repeat and lullaby choices, and day or night mode.
- Family voice recordings — if a grown-up records a story in their own voice, the audio files and the name you give each voice are saved inside the app.
Voice recordings and the microphone
Little Ark asks to use the microphone only when a grown-up chooses to record a story. Recording sits behind a grown-up check so a child can't start it by accident. The microphone is not used at any other time.
Your recordings are never sent to us or to our servers. Like other app data, they are included in your device backups (for example iCloud Backup) if you have backups turned on. Those backups are handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy, not by us.
Purchases
If you buy stories in the app, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, payment card or Apple Account details. Purchases also sit behind a grown-up check.
Crash reports and statistics
The app contains no analytics tools of its own. If you have chosen in your device settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may give us anonymous crash reports and overall usage numbers (for example, how many times the app was opened). These do not identify you or your child.
Children's privacy
Little Ark is made for children and their families and is designed to follow the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the App Store's Kids Category rules. Because we do not collect personal information from anyone using the app, we do not collect personal information from children under 13. Links that leave the app, purchases and recording are all behind a grown-up check.
Deleting your data
- To delete a family voice recording, open a story, tap the voice and timer button, and choose Manage recordings.
- To delete everything, delete the app from your device. This removes reading progress, settings and recordings from the device. Copies in your own backups follow your backup settings.
Our website waitlist
This section is about our website, not the app. If you joined the waitlist on tinykinbook.com, we keep the email address you gave us, your chosen language and how you found the page, and we use them only to tell you when Little Ark is available. We don't sell or share this list. Email hello@tinykinbook.com and we'll remove your address.
Changes to this policy
If the way the app handles information ever changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change reaches the app.
